About Us

who are we and why do we do it?

Our story began with observations of a world that – just a few decades ago – seemed stable and safe.

Poland was a place free from many of the threats that affected other countries. Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and tornadoes were just news images for us. Floods and fires, although they happened, never reached a scale that could threaten most of us. In the military sphere, since the end of World War II, we also lived in peace - war was history for us, not a real threat. Today, however, the reality is completely different. The climate crisis has caused the frequency and strength of extreme weather events to increase. Intense rainfall causing floods, hurricanes or summer droughts leading to fires are becoming more frequent.


In addition, the war on our eastern border reminds us that the stability we have valued so far is not given once and for all. It was these changes that made us decide to act. The inspiration was the story of a woman who, during a sudden evacuation from a flooded house, said: "I have nothing. I didn't know what to take - medicine, documents, food, family heirlooms. What is most important and where is it all?" Her words made us realize how easy it is to lose control in a stressful situation and become helpless in the face of tragedy. We understood that we can change something.

We have created the OUTBAG evacuation backpack to help in such situations.
